Okinja, aged 3 years, male, died at Alkipi Camp about 35 miles
from the Settlement. Death reported by Aboriginal Ngamararie.
The parents of the child immediately went bush and Ngamararie
and two other boys, Johnny and Talbonba buried it.
4. 8.1954 Statement by Jimmy Agnauara
Jimmy Agnauara lives near Aileron Station. About 10 dys ago an old
woman Molly Iridja died. ' That same day she die Jack Albaua,
Johnnie Ungara and myself been take her about one mile away in the
spinifex country near that eagle hawk dreaming (MT Boothby). Johnnie
been dig hole and we been put her longa inside and cover up that hole
with bushes. We been go back longa camp then. Next day we been go back
and cover him up all about properly gotten dirt.'
