Police Check A most unsavoury character, who has a long record of drunkenness and kindred offences.
It is sufficient to saythat he has paid 375 pounds in fines and costs in the last 5 years.
He always manages to find money for liquor and fines, but he allows his wife and family
to live in squalor.
Character Check Mr Carter was a beneficiary under his father's will which included half share Mt Esther
Station. He became hopelessly in debt and walked off the station.

Mrs Carter who could maintain a good standard of living.
